Halifax property managers, landlords and site managers can put soft services and building upkeep on a single schedule. It starts with a site visit and a written specification.
Halifax has one of the strongest heritage town centres in the county, with converted mill workspace on a huge scale, a Victorian market, financial offices, a large hospital and hillside industrial estates. Halifax is inside our West Yorkshire patch and is served with regular scheduled visits from Leeds. Sites in Halifax differ a great deal from one street to the next, so nothing is priced from a form. The specification is written for the building in front of us.
Halifax has an unusually rich stock of commercial buildings. Dean Clough, a former carpet mill complex north of the centre, now holds offices, galleries and restaurants. The Piece Hall, Borough Market, Woolshops and Broad Street Plaza anchor the town centre. Financial offices stand on Trinity Road. Calderdale Royal Hospital lies to the south, and industrial estates at Holmfield and along Pellon Lane climb the hills to the north and west.
Large converted mills work like small towns. Corridors, atria, shared kitchens and hundreds of windows need cleaning on a fixed cycle, and tenants expect common parts to be consistent from one block to the next. Town centre shops and offices want glass, entrances and rear service areas kept clean. On the hillside estates, wind carries litter into yards and fence lines, so external tidying matters as much as internal cleaning.
Halifax stone is durable but needs regular attention. Planned visits should cover parapet and valley gutters, pointing, stone steps, cast iron pipes and the decoration of large timber windows. Much of the centre is listed, so like-for-like repair is the rule. We agree working hours with occupiers and keep entrances open. Industrial units need cladding, doors, yard drainage gullies and boundary fencing inspected each year.
AD Facilities Management serves Halifax from Leeds via the M62 or the A58. Every contract begins with a visit, whether the property is a single shop or a wing of a mill. The written schedule that follows is the reference for both sides. It states what is cleaned, inspected or maintained and when. One point of contact answers for all of it.
A fault is reported, logged, made safe or fixed, and reported back with photographs. Priorities are agreed in writing first.
